About this activity

At the British Golf Museum you'll have an exciting visit as they display and interpret golf's history. There's lots to explore in the immersive galleries that bring the past, present and future of golf to life. There's thousands of objects dating back over 400 years plus so much more! 

There are six interactive zones to explore that take you from St Andrews and around the world. Explore the traditions and heritage of the golf club in St Andrews and the Royal connections.

Learn all about the evolution of the game and how it has captured the imagination of people across the glove, with classic films to bring the culture to life. 

There's the equipment and design exhibit where you'll uncover the clothing work and a chance for you to design your own environmentally sustainable golf course. 

Relive the iconic chapions, shots and matches from professional to amateur games and try your hand at a winning putt on the interactive green. 

Golf has been shaped by history and is being played in locations around the world and the world of golf exhibit will tell you about some inspirational stories and the challenges people have had to overcome too.

The Museum is dedicated to ensuring accessibility for all its visitors. Carers enter the Museum for free. For any visitor unable to navigate the Museum independently and for visitors with hidden disabilities they can be supported by the staff.
